"Why do you use Olive Oil to make your soap?"
You may read about differing soap recipes and the reasons to use specific oils in making soap. Soap makers can explore many different recipe's to make soap and include various ingredients for people to experience different textures, scents etc.
The reason that we like to make our soaps based solely from Olive Oil is that we think Olive Oil has the best properties in general skin care health. I know that this is an opinion and you may think otherwise but for most people, Olive Oil based soap will suit their needs and provide nourishment to their skin.
Another reason we use Olive Oil is that we love to support local South Australian Olive Oil producers. We engage with a number of suppliers here in South Australia and always have the best quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO).
Olive Oil soap provides a wide range of uses. You can shave with it, yes that's right, shave, we have had customers say that the lather provides a great shave. With the goodness of Olive Oil giving less irritation to the skin. I must say, I didn't use soaps for shaving cream but now I do and have had fewer cuts and rashes!
You can use Olive Oil for heavy duty hand washing, useful to wash greasy or stick hands.
